This is a pottery space for you to take the time to explore your creative practice with clay
Meet Georgi
Georgi is a full time ceramic artist with a business called Georgi Makes selling some of her creations, not all ceramics. Studio 2 pottery is her main place of work and will have some work on show for sale throughout the year and for regular shows and exhibitions.
Having studied a BA Hons 3D Design course at Brighton University specialising in ceramics and metal it has taken some years to be able to make the craft her full time career.
She creates functional work and sculptural work and as an inquisitive maker always has a new learning project underway.
She has opened her studio to members to enable people to have the benefit of a supportive community of makers, an equipped studio and inspiration from one another on the creative journey. It can be a stepping stone for those makers that may want to open their own studio in the future but not quite ready now - coming from the acclaimed Studio 45 in Dartington
The Mansion Pottery
The pottery is located in the court yard of The Mansion on Fore Street in the heart of Totnes. The entire building is hub for community interaction and involvement and Studio 2 Pottery fully supports this ethos.
Studio 1 pottery on the ground floor is a teaching pottery with classes given by a variety of teachers. in throwing, hand building and sculpture. Studio 2 Pottery is for potters with experience to enable them to develop their creative practice prior to the potential jump to their own studio.
